Although many years ago now, i have many happy memories with Martin from him sleeping in the school courtyard at lunchtime, jamming with him and Kevin O’Hara every Friday after school, then over to Sheet for dinner and beer or two. Shara Nelson, Lyle Maze, James Brown and Pat Metheny.  Spot the goldfish and Fang the cat. Linda McCartney sausages. Many, (so many) nights out with the gang from Herne, cards, darts and peruvian dice. Fishing out of Emsworth with Martin (and his dad) before getting stuck on the mudflats and pushing the boat off up to our waists in mud.  Mounting biking in QECP, when Martin always fell off his bike. Then cycling across France to Bordeaux.  Spending Y2K in Borneo and driving to the nearest Tesco (in Brunei!) to buy turkey (for me) and sprouts. Leeds Utd and the pros and cons of David O’Leary. 
A truly talented, funny, gentle and kind human being. 
A great loss to the world, Selene and Martin’s family.
